Product Description
BHS74MXF / Tournament Brett Hite Special Rod
Designed by FLW Tour Angler Brett Hite, the BHS74MXF has been B. Hite's go to rod when throwing vibration jigs (chatter baits), crank baits, spinner baits, and just about any kind of reaction bait that weigh between 3/8oz - 3/4oz. Because of the rods E-Glass construction, the rod has a softer tip section than graphite, so it allows the rod to pre-load before the hook set insuring positive hookups. Also, with the rods extra-fast taper, you get lots of lifting power and very responsive control while fighting that tournament winning bass. B. Hite used the BHS74MXF at the 2008 FLW Tour at Lake Toho, Florida, where he won the event with a 3 & 4 day total that was 20lbs 4oz over 2nd place! Then, 2 weeks later at the FLW National Guard Western Division Tournament at the California Delta, B. Hite clinched a back to back win using the same rod!
BHS74XF / Tournament B. Hite Special Rod
E-Glass construction, soft tip section and extra-fast taper, this rod has all the same attributes of its bigger brother the BHS74MXF but with a little lighter action. A perfect rod for casting smaller crank baits, jerk baits, and top-water, the BHS74XF is designed to accommodate smaller reaction baits between 1/4oz - 5/8oz. Both rods in the B. Hite Special Series have been tournament proven and are definitely money winning performers!
Tournament Brett Hite Special Rod Features
The Down Wrap Advantage - Less guides = Less weight, Less line-guide friction and longer casts, Less tip weight for better balance and feel. Guides below the blank virtually eliminates torsional twist on the blank. No torsional twist = Less wrist fatigue.
What is torsional twist and why is it important? - Torsional twist occurs on standard-wrapped (conventionally-wrapped) casting rods due to the line-load being on top of the rod. As a load is placed on the top of the rod, the guides want to rotate/twist under the blank which creates fatigue on an angler’s wrist and can also lead to rod failure.
E-Glass Construction for durability while maintaining light weight and sensitivity.
Fuji Alconite Concept Guides with satin black frames.

Titanium Drop Shot Hook Keeper for quick storage and easy release of tackle.
